This blouse is worked from the top down, a flattering peacock edging sits across the the collarbones and at the shoulder. It overlaps to accentuate the boat neck with ribbing on the sleeves and waist. This is a very simple pattern and can easily be increased or decreased in size by adding one repeat to the peacock pattern. Enjoy!
I created this pattern about 3 years ago, and never bothered publishing it. It has never been tech edited or test knitted. I did knit one version of it as you can see. It went well for me and I hope it does for you! Please do not hesitate to contact me with any concerns, questions, or constructive criticism.
This piece is inspired by the history and beauty of Beacon Hill. The loose fish net knit is inspired by the fishermen who have fished along the shores for years, the lace edging is inspired by the elegance of the central gardens that attract so many people both tourists and locals.
It is knit with just one skein of Indigo Moons Hand dyed silk yarn, there was even a generous amount left over. It is a very simple knit, worked on 1mm and 3mm needles.
This pattern is worked across the body from one sleeve to the other.
